FOUNDER BIO
“I watched my father die from pancreatic cancer when I was 14 years old. What I hated most, though, was seeing how one day he was lively and present, and then how sad and scared he was the next.
He always worked when I was growing up. He commuted to NYC daily. He was stressed and had few outlets. My brother and I saw him mostly on the weekends. Most of my life we were always outside hiking and being physically active. The last 5-6 years of his life, he was busy and couldn’t be as active anymore. My brother and I followed suit and became much more sedentary as a result.
He passed at the age of 45 and after that, I was self-conscious and closed off. A few years passed and I was determined to lose the weight I gained throughout middle and high school. I lost 30 pounds in about a month and to my surprise, I wasn’t any better. I lost the weight, but at a drastic cost. My mental health didn’t change and I was even more physically unwell as a result.
I hoped this would cure my inner pain. I hoped it improve my mental state and my life overall so when it didn’t, I committed myself to learning what makes me and everyone else tick. I wanted to know what would truly make me happy and how to do it. I wanted to know how to live a life “worth” living.
Since 2016, I’ve focused on answering those questions. I started by learning how the human body works on a physiological level. I became a personal trainer and after 2 years of continuing education and focusing on how to help people (more-so myself) move better, I found it wasn’t enough for neither myself nor my clients. Up until that point, I worked with a variety of people from all walks of life and found that I had a nag for reading people and helping them in more ways than just the physical. I’ve since then continued my education and dove into the mental-emotional side of health. I’ve worked through many personal struggles with group therapy and with my own consistent introspection and evaluation.
I focus on the bigger picture and what I’ve learned is that the physical and mental/emotional aspects of health are not separate. They are one and the same and have full effects on one-another.
My mission is to coach my clients toward living wholesome and meaningful lives through physical and mental exercise.”
